About
Mark Eden is a bespoke furniture designer and maker based in the heart of the Lake District, Cumbria. With a career built on a deep commitment to craft and considered design, Mark creates furniture that is made to last, designed to be used, and built to become part of the fabric of a home.
Trained in traditional cabinet-making techniques, Mark combines time-honoured joinery methods with a refined contemporary sensibility. Each commission begins as a conversation — working closely with clients to understand their vision, their space, and the way they live — resulting in furniture that is uniquely theirs.
Drawing inspiration from the natural landscape of Cumbria, Mark works primarily in solid hardwoods, choosing timbers for their grain, character, and beauty. Every piece of wood is carefully selected and allowed to speak for itself, with the maker's hand present but never overbearing.
From dining tables and sideboards to beds, desks, and bespoke fitted storage, every piece is made entirely by hand in Mark's Lake District workshop. Mark Eden Design accepts a limited number of commissions each year, ensuring that every project receives the time, care, and craftsmanship it deserves.
